Bluebell

A compact one person hide facing in a westerly direction, nestled between a small wooded area of mainly Oak trees and a rocky area covered in gorse and heather.

Overlooking a large meadow.

Located close to the parking area.

Wellingtons or waterproof walking boots are a necessity in wet weather, you are on a farm and tracks get muddy.
Wear suitable warm clothing.

A comfortable office chair and a Gimbal head supported on a camera rail come as standard in all our purpose built hides.

We see a lot of small bird activity at this location.
Common Buzzards are frequent visitors.
Bank Voles and Wood Mice seen frequently.

The quieter you are, the more you will see. Move slowly, sudden movements may scare your subject away.
Don't scroll on your phone as your face gets lit up by the screen and all the wildlife can see you, the Bank Voles are watching - always.
Do not wear strong smelling perfume / aftershave / deodorant etc

500 to 800 mm lens suitable for the distant perches.
100 to 400 mm lenses suitable for the closer subjects 1,2 to 1.5 meters / 4 to 5 feet.

If your lens will not focus on a close subject, consider the use of Macro extension tubes which will allow you to focus closer in without having to buy another lens. Do not purchase the cheapest out there, you need the electronic contacts to still be able to use autofocus.
